The Film
The adaptation of my debut novel This Time Next Year is now available to rent or download from Amazon Prime, Sky Box Office, Apple Store, Virgin Media and Rakuten TV.
Directed by Nick Moore (the editor of Love Actually) and starring Lucien Laviscount (Emily in Paris) Sophie Cookson (Kingsman) and a stellar supporting cast including; Golda Rosheuvel (Bridgerton) John Hannah (Four Weddings and a Funeral) BAFTA award-winning Monica Dolan, Mandip Gill, Will Hislop, Charlie Oscar and Keala Settle.
I penned the screenplay for the film, which was an exciting new challenge for me. Trying to distil everything I loved about the book into less than two hours was probably the hardest part, but I had always pictured this book as a film, so seeing it brought to life was incredible. Last summer I had the chance to visit the set and see some of the filming, which was a highlight of my year. Look out for my very brief cameo in the engagement scene. (Blink and you’ll miss me!)
